Tenderers must be registered with the CIDB in a class of construction works and have a grading designation equal to or higher than that determined in accordance with the sum tendered or a value determined in accordance with regulation 25 (7A) of the Construction Industry Development Regulations, 2004. It is estimated that tenderers will need a grading designation of SL 2 OR CE 2 or higher.

COMPULSORY SITE CLARIFICATION MEETING WILL BE ARRANGED FOR 29 JUNE 2021 AT THE ROBERTSON MUNICIPAL OFFICE , 52 CHURCH STREET, AT 10 AM

Preferential Procurement Regulations, 2011 (Regulation 9. (1) and 9. (3) make provision for the promotion of local production and content. Local production content applicable to designated sectors of construction.

Only goods, works and services with a stipulated minimum threshold as applicable for local production and content will be considered. The South African Bureau of Standards approved, Technical Specification Number (SATS 1286:2011) will be used to calculate local content.

 TENDER INSTRUCTIONS

  1. The tender must be valid for a period of 120 days.
  2. This is a two envelope tender where Functionality and Price will be evaluated separately.
  3. You are therefore required to submit your functionality tender documentation (ENVELOPE 1) and price tender documentation (ENVELOPE 2) in two separate envelopes.
  4. Functionality evaluation will comprise of two parts.
  5. Part 1 of the Functionality Evaluation will be based on the submission of a ring-bind file that will be evaluated first and only bidders that obtain at least 80% for PART 1 of the Functionality Evaluation will proceed to PART 2.

Failure to comply with this requirement will result in an invalid bid.

All clarifications must be requested in writing from Mr. K Brand (see email address below).  All enquiries received from any prospective bidder will be sent to all prospective bidders who have downloaded tender documents to ensure transparent and equitably treatment.
